Sweet Pea Dance Co. was started in 2008 by Hayley Egan and Cristy Wiser, two friends who couldn't find dance lessons that were good quality and affordable. Beginning with a handful of girls, Sweet Pea Co. tripled its size in the first few years of business. Hayley became the sole owner of the studio. Cristy and her family have moved to St. George. Offering affordable lessons, our class sizes are small to help give our students the attention they need. Sweet Pea offers top quality dance instructions by teachers who are excited to start off another year of success. Hayley has now handed Sweet Pea over to Morgan Bybee. Morgan has been with Sweet Pea for eight years. Teaching for four of the years and helping assist Hayley the other four with everything behind the scenes. Morgan is very excited to get back into the dance studio and teaching dancers again.
MiKell Egan |
MiKell is currently a senior at Utah State University. Her love of dance started back when she was just a baby when her mom would take her to sit in on her dance classes. Since then MiKell trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop at various dance studios in the Pocatello, Idaho area, including The Dance Factory. In high school, she was excited to be apart of her high school cheer team... GO RAMS! Since graduating high school she has been teaching here at Sweet Pea and says she loves the fun relationships she makes with the girls and being able to see how much each one of them grows from the beginning to the end of the year!
Liz Folland |
Liz is currently a junior a Utah State University. Since she was three years old, she has had a love for dancing. While her older sisters would be getting ready to go to their dance class she would dress up in her own “ballerina clothes”, do her own bun, and hop in the car with them hoping she could join their class. After three attempts of this, Liz finally convinced her mom that it was time to put her in her own class! Since then she has loved competitively dancing at her home studio in Bountiful learning ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, & tap. In junior high school, she was so excited to make the school's cheer squad all while continuing to competitively dance. In high school, she was thrilled to make & be a part of her high school’s highly competitive drill team & dance company. Since graduating she has been working at Sweet Pea for the past two years and loves to see the progression that each girl makes throughout the year and values each and every sweet relationship she makes with all the dancers.
